
Alongside long-term system projects such as the motion platform development, smaller constructions also emerge at WorkshopTales from specific occasions or spontaneous ideas. The Energy Trophy was created exactly in this way — originally as a birthday project and at the same time as an opportunity to design a fully 3D‑printed modular object.
The model presents six standard beverage cans (250 ml) in a stacked trophy-like arrangement. All threads and connectors are integrated directly into the printed parts, meaning no additional hardware is required.
Design Principle
The structure follows a modular design approach and can be assembled in just a few steps.
Five cans are positioned in a circular arrangement on the base element. A top plate stabilizes the layout and ensures even load distribution.
In the center of the base element, a hidden cavity (Ø 35 mm × 120 mm) provides optional storage space, for example for gift money or small items.
The two-part holder for the top can is screwed in using an integrated printed thread. The sixth can forms the final top element of the construction.
The two-part lid consists of a cap with a dovetail guide and an interchangeable ring element, allowing easy customization for different occasions.

Design Idea
The Energy Trophy replaces traditional gift wrapping with a reusable object that can be easily customized and reused multiple times. Although created for a specific occasion, the project follows the same principles as other WorkshopTales designs: clear function, modular construction, and straightforward implementation.
